The beautiful beaches at Payyambalam, Muzhappilangad drive in beach (about 4.5 kms) and Ezhimala beach (upcoming Naval Academy) are nature's boon to Kannur. The Moppila bay next to Fort De Angelo is a fishing harbour of great scenic beauty.
The Parassinikadavu snake park and demonstration centre situated 17 kms from Kannur is peculiar of its kind in India.
